A State Of Trance (ASOT) has revealed the theme and the first acts slated to perform at ASOT950.

Taking place in Utrecht on the 15TH February 2020, Armin van Buuren's ASOT will be held in the city's Jaarbeurs venue. It follows on from the huge 2019 edition of the festival, which sold out in six weeks in advance and saw 35,000 fans descend on the city.

The theme for next year's event was revealed by van Buuren during a special Amsterdam Dance Event edition of his radio show, A State Of Trance, as Let The Music Guide You, as well as the first wave of acts joining him at the mammoth event.

Details of next year's Detroit edition of Moodymann's Soul Skate party have been revealed.

The bi-annual skating event will return to Moodymann's hometown over Memorial Day weekend next year, taking place over the course of five days. The lineups and venues for 2020's edition of Soul Skate are yet to be announced.

Moodymann launched Soul Skate in Detroit in 2007 creating a place for skate dancers around the US and beyond to meet up and cut around the roller rink to music soundtracked by a number of DJs, sometimes including himself.

Carl Cox has self-confirmed he will be on the line-up for Glastonbury 2020.

Glastonbury has already confirmed that Diana Ross will headline next year's event, with more than 2.4million people registering to attend. General admission tickets sold out in 33minutes, with coach and ticket packages vanishing in just 27minutes. A resale is set for April next year.

Discogs' best records of the 2010s have been ranked by the releases that have been both purchased the most, and requested the most. The grand totals take into account vinyl, cassette, CD, and all other physical formats. 

David Bowie's final record 'Blackstar' is second, and both Flying Lotus, Tame Impale and Kendrick Lemar appear three times throughout the list. Beyond 'Random Access Memories' and Bowie, the rest of the top ten features Kendrick Lemar, Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, Tame Impala, Kendrick Lemar (again!), Lana Del Ray, Jack White and Arcade Fire.

Elsewhere, Aphex Twin's 'Syro' is at 41, Jamie xx's 'Colours' lands at 65, and Daft Punk appear again with their Tron Legacy soundtrack at number 91. Bonobo's 'Black Sands' is at 104, with Massive Attack's 'Heligoland' at 114.

Doctor Dre, who became a household name alongside his Yo! MTV Raps co-host Ed Lover has been publicly battling diabetes and has suffered tremendously in doing so. In a recent sitdown, the veteran media figure and DJ detailed his journey on the health front.Born Andre Brown, Doctor Dre has already lost a toe to the disease and his eyesight went as well in 2016, a moment he says has pushed him to speak out against diabetes and warn others of its dangers. Sitting with ABC7’s Here and Now program, the interview ranged from Doctor Dre’s early days with Ed Lover, who he shared that he first met during an audition for the show and other tidbits of his life.
